Vocal Jam Pack - It's Here It's Here

   Happy Friday!

We finally picked up the Logic Express ‘Voices’ Jam Pack.  This series provides you with nearly 2,000 vocal loops that range from improve, gospel, rock, hip-hop, and even middle-eastern.  We have talked about the song 4Play for months now and how it has evolved.  We played around with the vocal loops the other night adding a nice mix of funky one-liner vocal loops.  We plan on posting it on the website with in the next week and then on YouTube.  Keep a look out….  I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

As always, thanks for reading…

4Play - Edited and Near Completion

Good Afternoon……….

I have been editing the song 4Play that I put out on our first release several months ago.  (It has since been taken off of iTunes.)  I’ve found new ways to increase sound quality including bass and clarity.  I put in a full 16 bar verses, 8 bar chorus, and the bridge that puts it all together.  I am going to post it on our website and YouTube in its entirety.  Keep a look out and I will post a heads up when it’s out.  Thanks again for reading/listening.

Just finished up another 1 to 1 at the Apple store. It was a decent session learning about decible levels between highs and lows. The idea is to make a track louder and heavier without clipping on the main output. I have been mixing 4Play and having issues with clipping because of the heavy bass while trying to increase the overall volume of highs. When I would bring up the highs the output would clip like a monster. When I get home I'll put my brain cells together to get the most crisp and clear sound out of 4Play.

Look out for the update on our website and blast it on your computer surrond sound system to get the best bang for your ear drums buck.

Structure and Motivation

I have been converting/restructuring my older tracks into organized
songs; intro, chorus, hook, etc... It's been a new and exctitng
challenge that I am up for.

A good friend of mine is visiting and he has several designer clothing
lines based out of Australia and the US. Listening to his excitiment
and vision for his businesses has rejuvinated my own passion for music.

Inspiration can come from anywhere and it's what I have needed to see
and feel. Once his most recent site is lauched we will post the link
and info on our website. Stay tuned!

Fuse Inspiration

I have been watching music channel called Fuse recently.  Most of the shows are based around hip-hop and hip-hop artist.  I've found myself increasingly drawn to the 30-60 minute specials that discuss the history of hip-hop and different artist point of views on how it has changed; for better or for worse.

As I mentioned in the a previous posting I had been having trouble with finding the motivation and creativity needed to make a good song.  I would like to think that I am not a quitter which is why I have been searching for new resources for inspiration.  I signed back up for the one-to-one's at the local Apple store where you meet with an Apple professional who is certified in Logic to teach.  I feel like I have a substantial portion of logic under creative control but I also know that there is more that I don't know than do.

The last special I saw on Fuse discussed the art of making a hip-hop song regarding 16 bars, hook, and chorus.  Most of my songs are not strictly hip-hop but its still good to see creativity in all different forms.  I remixed an old song off of my first album we released, Dance Biology - 4Play, making it more structured based off of the hip-hop specials I watched.  I plan to post in on the website soon and on Youtube.  Keep a look out for it.  I will keep up my search for inspiration and motivation and you keep listening.

Thanks for reading.....
