In May of 2011 Washington D.C. will be hosting its first annual music festival being held 4 blocks from our apartment/studio. Submissions of musical works for consideration must be submitted by Feb 1st 2011. We sent an email out to the music festival POC to get more details. With this being the first festival we are not quite sure what to expect but are excited to find out.

The inaugural event will not only focus on one style of music, but music as a whole, showcasing multiple genres of talent. One of a kind and never done before, this festival seeks to start a wave of support and awareness for the local music scene. Focusing on talent and not just popularity, the DC Music Festival will expose thousands of people to the local music scene, all with one day of entertainment."
