It's a chilly Wednesday morning here in Northern VA. We attended the Open Mic night Monday evening. I had hopes of hearing at least one vocalist singing on stage but instead I only heard the voices of poets and their "struggle" to conquer life's strife. I'm a published poet myself however I could only take so much of hearing about thier life struggle to find "meaning" with in themselves. None the less they were talented but it became noise after the third performer.

There are several other Open Mic Night's all over DC which gives me hope that I'll have a chances to hear someone blow me away with thier vocal talent. I'll update everyone on the status of Steve Long tonigt.
